What do I do with all of these Thanksgiving leftovers?

Thanksgiving is a day where all of us feel absolutely stuffed. Turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and let's not forget the gravy.

What do I do with all of these leftovers my mom forces me to take home?

Some pointers I have used in the past:

1. Take the healthy options

2. Avoid taking a plate of dessert

3. Take only what you will use

If you have leftovers focus on the healthy options you can use in your meal prep for the next few days. A few slices of turkey, maybe some ham or even roasted chicken depending on what your family likes to make!

Load up on any side veggies that are available. Green beans, peas or corn are usually common items at Thanksgiving dinner and can be used for your meals.

Try to avoid taking any sides with a lot of added cheese or gravy and avoid bringing home the extra pumpkin pie. If it isn't in your fridge, you won't eat it!

Take enough food to make 1-2 days of meal preps with the leftovers, or even consider making a soup or crock pot dish with everything.

On Monday, back to the normal routine!
